EMDR therapy in Colorado Springs & online across Colorado

Are you desperate to move beyond patterns that persist despite insight, reduce anxiety and overthinking, shift ingrained beliefs about yourself and your worth, feel more grounded, steady, and less reactive, experience more ease and authenticity in relationships?

Maybe you’ve tried to “move on,” but certain thoughts, images, or emotions keep resurfacing. You might notice anxiety, emotional numbness or overwhelm, difficulty trusting others, repeated relational patterns, or feeling on edge without fully understanding why.

If this sounds familiar, EMDR therapy can help you. Your nervous system is doing exactly what it learned to do, protect you. Your nervous system is stuck in time and is operating as if the threat is still present. EMDR therapy is designed to help your brain fully process and integrate difficult experiences so you can move forward with calm, clarity, peace, and choice.

Triggers lose their intensity, emotional reactions become more regulated, and long-held beliefs begin to shift naturally. You begin to align with self and how you want to experience life.

You’re ready to feel safer in your body, more present in your life, and move forward with choice and intention.

What is Emdr therapy and how can it help me?

You can move forward from unwanted memories, emotional responses, behaviors, relational patters, and belief systems.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a research-based therapy that helps your brain process unresolved memories and distressing experiences.

When something overwhelming happens, your brain does not fully integrate it into the memory system. Instead, the memory can become “stuck,” along with the emotions, beliefs, and physical sensations you felt at the time of the event. Your nervous system stores it in a raw, unprocessed form. That is why triggers in the present can feel just as intense as when the trauma originally occurred.

Through a structured and guided process using bilateral stimulation (guided eye movements, tapping, or hand pulsars), EMDR helps your brain reprocess those memories so they become integrated in the memory system. Over time, the memory doesn’t disappear—but it no longer feels activating. Instead of reliving it, you can remember it without distress or overwhelm. It no longer drives how you live in your body, how you feel, how you relate, and how you think. It frees your body from long held emotional responses, relational patterns, and belief systems.

You don’t have to relive every detail. You don’t have to force insight. Your brain knows what it needs and does the work.
